This Victorian mansion was built between 1884 and 1886 for pioneer lumberman William Carson, his wife and four children. It is said to be the most photographed Victorian home in America. Located near downtown on 2nd Street and M.

Situated directly across the street from the Carson Mansion is the Pink Lady, as it is called by the locals. It is actually the J. Milton Carson House, which William Carson built in 1889 as a wedding gift for his son.

Romano Gabriel's Wooden Sculpture Garden 11 6 2010
Romano Gabriel, a carpenter and gardener, spent 30 years of his life making thousands of folk art objects to decorate the garden. Gabriel created his brightly painted figures and flowers out of vegetable crates. After his death in 1977, many of his creations were rescued and a downtown museum on 2nd Street was established to preserve his works of art.

Woodley Island Marina is the largest marina on Humboldt Bay. This full-service marina provides slips for commercial and recreational vessels, guest docking facilities, hoists, work area, café and bar, laundry, ships chandlery and boat sales, rentals and lessons.

Table Bluff Lighthouse 11 6 2010

Table Bluff Lighthouse was the first lighthouse to mark Humboldt Bay, in 1856. Prone to flooding and obscured by fog, it was relocated in 1892 to Table Bluff, four miles south of the entrance to the bay. After powerful new lights were constructed at the entrance to the harbor, Table Bluff lighthouse was deactivated and relocated to the Southwest end of Woodley Island Marina.

Discovery Museum 11 6 2010

Located on the corner of 3rd and F Streets in Old Town Eureka, the Discovery Museum is a non-profit children’s museum that offers interactive exhibits and thematic programs. Discovery Museum exhibits and programs promote hands-on, open-ended discovery in the areas of science, art, culture and technology. Our goal is to help youth expand their horizons and prepare for the future by fostering a passion for exploration and learning.
