Since Folsom was one of the end points of the Sacramento Valley Railroad, it was important to be able to turn the train around for its return trip. A replication of the 1867 “A” frame or gallows style turntable was completed in September 1999. Today, it sits proudly in its original position on the railroad block near the Light Rail Station.
