The Anderson tradition of hospitality on the Central Coast dates back to the turn of the Century when the original Anderson Hotel opened in San Luis Obispo. The hotel was the best place to spend the night on the Central Coast, serving businessmen and travelers, as well as many celebrities who were en route to Hearst Castle. In 1966, the Anderson family opened The Galley Restaurant on Morro Bay’s Embarcadero and this popular restaurant quickly became a favorite among locals and visitors.
