The Carnegie Art Museum, owned and operated as a non-profit museum by the City of Oxnard  since 1985, traces its beginnings back to the best spirit of American business philanthropy. In the early 1980s, after extensive earthquake retrofitting, the Carnegie Building reopened as a Cultural Arts Center.  Due to the growing importance of its permanent art collection, the Carnegie was designated by the City as an Art Museum in 1985.....

The non-profit Murphy Auto Museum is a new collection of over 50 cars displayed by many collectors from the tri-county area. It houses a wide variety of classic, milestone and special interest vehicles, including a large collection of Packards from 1927-1958. The museum auto collection continues to vary as we add new collectors to our family of supporters. Because of our new expansion, we currently have room for another 15 cars to display. Open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am- 4 pm......

Designed in 1949, completed in 1950 and restored in 2003, the Woolworth Building remains one of the most recognized structures in downtown Oxnard. The museum displays the most original Woolworth paraphernalia in the universe (that we know of)! The original Lighthouse was constructed in 1874. It was a Swiss-Elizabethan style with the first two floors serving as quarters for the the Keeper and Assistant. The structure was in use until 1940 when the construction of the channel entrance to the harbor required that the structure be moved. The current structure was completed 1941. The Fourth Order Fresnel lens which was manufactured in France by Barbier & Bernard in 1897......
