Graced by oak trees and bordered by the Linda Creek and Strap Ravine, this nature area offers a loop trail that takes you past ancient petroglyphs (rock art) and hundreds of bedrock mortars (acorn grinding holes), evidence of Southern Maidu Indian occupation of the site for thousands of years. The Carnegie Museum is housed in Roseville's first permanent library. The Library was constructed in 1912, and like many others built during the early part of the century, was funded in part by Andrew Carnegie.
